I%26#39;m taking my son to see Walking with Dinosaurs this weekend at Alltel Arena and we%26#39;ve never been there.
We%26#39;ll be coming from 2 hours away- How early should we get there to park and get into the place, get drinks and all, and find our seats, which are near the front?
Should we get souveniers before or after the show? It%26#39;s a two-part show, but I KNOW there%26#39;ll be a crowd during intermission.
Can any of you point me in the right direction? It%26#39;s his birthday and he%26#39;s autistic so I really want it to go smoothly for us so he%26#39;ll have a great time!

according to alltel%26#39;s website (alltelarena.com), the doors to arena open one hour before the show starts. there are directions on their website for route to take to arena and shuttle bus info. it is a rather large place, so it can take 5-10 minutes to find seats. the few times i%26#39;ve been there, they%26#39;ve always had people to point you in the direction of your seats. since it%26#39;s a weekend, there shouldn%26#39;t be any highway traffic to worry about. the parking is not good. we usually end up parking along the street or in a business parking lot where they are renting out space for the show. i%26#39;d get souvenirs before the show. some people will show up late, but all leave on time. enjoy your trip!

I didn%26#39;t remember if there was any dedicated parking for the arena. I knew we never managed to find any parking real close to the arena. asked around just to make sure. there isn%26#39;t. parking on side streets and business lots for a fee is all that%26#39;s available for general public.
