I live in TX and am trying to plan a baby shower for my sister in AR. I am having an extremely hard time trying to find a place...and one that%26#39;s not outrageous.
I%26#39;d really like a place where you pay one flat fee to rent the room and you can bring in your own catering and there aren%26#39;t extra fees involved.
any ideas are greatly appreciated. I need to finish the invitations and send them.
the event will be nov. 10th.

At this point I%26#39;m more than likely going to rent the Caldwell room at the Green at Hurricane Creek golf club in Bryant.

I%26#39;m unclear about exactly where in Arkansas your sister lives. If she%26#39;s in Bryant, that%26#39;d probably be a good choice, but if she%26#39;s in Little Rock I think there are probably better possibilities.
The following are moderately priced event spaces in greater Little Rock which allow you to bring food. Since you may have settled on a space already, I won%26#39;t go into the details. If you want more info, please post again.
Burns Park Community Room (may go under slightly different name) - very reasonable and hard to get a booking. Free parking. 7501-791-8537
North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce - second level large room, free parking - 501-372-5959
Little Rock River Market - Third Floor meeting room - historic and interesting building in a restored neighborhood near Clinton Library - Free parking available but it is not ample or adjacent.
YWCA - Widely used for all kinds of evants. 501-664-4268
