I am trying to find out when the miles of garage sales occur, they start at about Ft. Smith and go on for miles on a highway.

It will occur on August 9–11, 2007, right here in Arkansas. That Thursday through Saturday is when the Eighth Annual Bargains Galore on 64 occurs.

It’s patterned after the big U.S. Hwy. 127 Corridor event that stretches from Kentucky, to Alabama, the self-described “world’s longest outdoor sale.” Arkansas’ Bargains Galore on 64 is more compact, though, running from Ft. Smith past Conway to Beebe on U.S. Highway 64.

“It’s 160 miles of yard sales and flea markets,” says Linda Hiles of Ozark, “and it brings a lot of money into the Arkansas River Valley.”
