Nearest Airport?

Hi Everyone,

I%26#39;ve got a chance to stay at a place in Brando which appears to be near Little Rock and would like to know what the nearest big airport is so that I can work out wheter it%26#39;s a realistic idea or not

Nearest Airport?

Putting this together with your other post, I%26#39;m assuming that you%26#39;re talking about Branson, Missouri. You%26#39;ll no doubt get better info in the Missouri or Branson forums, but I can tell you that Springfield, Missouri (SGF) is the closest commercial airport, but it%26#39;s not a ';major'; airport. Little Rock (LIT), St. Louis (STL) and Kansas City (MCI) would be the nearest airports I%26#39;d consider ';major';. Memphis (MEM) would be a little farther away.

Nearest Airport?

Also XNA - lots of daily flights without the big airport hassle and only 2 hours to Branson.

Was expecting it to be pretty much a wash between XNA and SGF both in terms of airfare and number of flights, and given that SGF is over an hour closer, there didn%26#39;t seem to be much reason to recommend XNA (my parents live in Rogers, AR, and I went to high school in Fayetteville, so I know the area and have been to Branson a lot, though not in the last 25 years or so). So I did some checking.

It appears that there actually are a few more reasonably priced flight options into XNA than SGF for an itinerary from LGW, for a randomly chosen date in August. So you can add XNA to the list, though again you%26#39;d want to compare the cost, departure/arrival times, duration, layovers, preferred airline, and other factors. MCI, LIT, and STL were generally a few hundred dollars cheaper than either XNA or SGF, as you%26#39;d expect. All are between 3.5 and 4 hours from Branson. LIT is the closest (3 hrs 36 mins according to Google Maps -- MCI and STL are both almost exactly 4 hours).
