Motorcycle Roads

My wife %26amp; I will be travelling to the Rogers / Bentonville area in July 0f 2008. We will be staying in this area for about 3 - 5 days. Being from Canada we have never been to this part of the USA. We are travelling by motorcycle and I was wondering if anyone could help us out by recommending scenic motorcycle rides and things to do %26amp; see in this area.

My friend who rides his Harley through the Ozarks says '; You cannot go wrong in that part of the country - (highways) 72/279/340/94/102 - all are excellent.'; My personal %26#39;don%26#39;t miss%26#39; is Eureka Springs - a great destination, whether on a motorcycle, in a Rolls Royce or hitchiking.

the closest to you would probably either be the northern section of hwy 7 or the Boston Mountains loop of us hwy 71 and I-540. a friend of mine rides with his harley group to mount magazine (hwy 309) near paris, ar. he prefers the mount nebo area near dardanelle though. see arkansasstateparks.com/mountnebo or mountainstateparks.com for mount nebo info. i agree with him that mount nebo has the prettiest view of the two. much of the very nice hiking trails at nebo are above tree line. they have trail maps at the visitors centers at mt magazine and mt nebo. there are a couple of wineries at altus and a couple at paris. east of paris, on hwy 22 East is the town of subiaco. in subiaco there is a very beautiful abbey. (subi.org/abbey) did the hwy 309 drive last week to leaf peep.
