kids decided hot springs....need help

Anyone out there that can help us, I will be grateful! Family of four going to Hot Springs for kid%26#39;s(4 and 7) spring break. My son(7) wants to mine for diamonds and crystals so, we are headed to Arkansas April 9-14th. I need suggestions for where to stay. We would like a convienent location and a decent hotel. But we can not spend too much money because my husband and I were naughty and spent too much in Mexico in March(hehehehehe). If you could suggest anything for around 60 - 100 dollars a night, that would be great. Of course we would prefer something in the mid range price of that amount. Also, if there are any suggestions on things to do other than the mining, please let me know.

Any tips regarding the mining? (where for the crystals, best place.....I have done that 12 years ago @ Staley%26#39;s)

it is sixty miles from hot springs, It would be a little closer to stay in hope arkansas, only 40 miles.

Thanks you for your the great information!!!!!!!! I think we will stay the first two nights closer to Murfressboro and then head to Hot Springs for a few more nights.

We will be using one of the hotels that you have suggested, thanks again.

Also do you have any information regarding the crystal mines. I think the kids will find more crystals then we will find diamonds. We are hitting both places.
