Poor websites

I%26#39;ve been searching through all different lodging options in Eureka Springs for my honeymoon this summer and it%26#39;s been very frustrating. Almost every website I find for lodging is old and uninformative. If I%26#39;m gonna pay $1,000+ for several nights somewhere I want to see what exactly I%26#39;m getting, not a lot of Times New Roman text in florescent colors with some pictures from the %26#39;70s.

I%26#39;m sure the first facility in Eureka Springs that actually publishes a professional, attractive and informative website will be the one to take the majority of internet traffic from tourists, thereby increasing residency throughout the year. I know it would have my money, anyway.

Poor websites

Have you thought about Branson instead? I know of a B%26amp;B that is just beautiful and has hot tubs on the decks and some with sunken tubs.

The prices are really good, and there%26#39;s more to do in Branson, And you could still go and do a day trip to eureka springs, It only takes around an hour to drive there, from Branson.

Poor websites

Your caution in finding accommodations to suit your needs in good old Eureka is justified. Though we have stayed there many times and always enjoy ourselves in beautiful Eureka , we are still looking for lodging which entices our family for repeat visits. My personal preference for a honeymoon night in NW Arkansas would be the Frank Lloyd Wright Suite at Inn at the Mill in Lowell, and a wedding feast at my favorite restaurant in the State, James at the Mill.

rockinyp, Have you tried these sites?

http://www.crescent-hotel.com/

http://www.basinpark.com/

These are two of the oldest and most well-known hotels in Eureka.

rockinyp, Ditto on the Inn at the Mill and James at the Mill. They%26#39;re both excellent. They are right outside Fayetteville which has many fine restaurants along Dickson Street

rockinyp, you%26#39;ve chosen a lovely place to spend your honeymoon this summer. you will absolutely love it ....it%26#39;s such a romantic little paradise. have you ever been there before?

there are so many B%26amp;B%26#39;s and cottages and cabins, as well as hotels, it can all be a little overwhelming; and i guess i travel there often enough that i don%26#39;t notice the flaws in the various websites. but ill be glad to help you find some of the nicer ones, if you%26#39;d like.

branson can%26#39;t hold a candle to eureka when it comes to charm and uniqueness - especially for a honeymoon destination! you won%26#39;t be sorry that you chose eureka, and branson could be a fun day trip during your stay in eureka.

are you looking for a B%26amp;B...a cottage...a cabin by the lake...or one of the historic hotels? what%26#39;s your pleasure? i%26#39;ll be happy to point you in the direction of some really nice spaces...and they might even have decent websites. i promise you i won%26#39;t lead you to any place that%26#39;s not really nice, top to bottom. we%26#39;ve stayed in many spaces around eureka, and know a lot about the area.

just let me know what you%26#39;re interested in!

Well, here%26#39;s what we%26#39;re looking for:

-- 2-person jaccuzi

-- Cabin/cottage on the lake that%26#39;s a decent size

-- Seculded and private in a wooded area, but close to attractions

-- Full kitchen for preparing meals

We really wanted the Treehouse Cottages, but they%26#39;re booked during our dates in July. From what we can tell online, Beaver Lakefront Cabins is another option for us, but it%26#39;s pretty expensive and puts us close to going over budget. Beaver Lake Cottages seems to have some good reviews, too. Do you have any input on either of them or other good suggestions forus to look into?

I have stayed at both the cabins and the cottages. Although the cabins are a little more pricey, the views from the cabin can%26#39;t be beat. ANd their web sites are really current and do a really good job of showing what your getting. I suggested branson only because I find eureka kinda boring after a day or two. From past experiences I have found eureka kinda lacking in night life, it gets kinda dead early.

Here%26#39;s a owner web site rental in eureka springs on the lake that is a good deal.

Lake Shore Cabins (on Beaver Lake) are beautiful - sounds like what you%26#39;re looking for. This is the web site: http://www.lakeshorecabins.net/

Another option: http://www.eurekahouse.com

good recommendations all, from what i%26#39;ve heard. when we visit Eureka Springs we always stay in the historic district to be close to the great shopping and great restaurants. so i don%26#39;t have any personal experience with the cabins and cottages around the lake. but for what it%26#39;s worth...in the last 10 or so years i%26#39;ve never heard or read anything about anyone being disappointed in the places on the lake.

rockinyp, do you have your heart set on something out of town/by the lake because of water sports and such? or are you just interested in something secluded, private and romantic? if that%26#39;s the case...there are lots of lovely spaces in town that offer exactly that also.

have you checked the lodging search on eurekasprings.com? using that search engine you can input items like %26#39;jacuzzi for 2%26#39;, etc...and come up with some really good options!

someone mentioned eureka house....at eurekahouse.com. i%26#39;ve been there...its a WONDERFUL house that offers everything you want, except the double jacuzzi. check out their website....it%26#39;s an absolutely lovely property.

keep up posted and let us know if we can help further! you certainly won%26#39;t be disappointed in a eureka honeymoon! eureka springs is an enchanting magical place!
