Ever stayed at the SunBay Resort?

I am looking at staying at the SunBay Resort in a 2 bedroom timeshare in July. I am curious to see if anyone has stayed there and what their experience has been.

thanks!

I have not stayed at SunBay and probably should not waste your time here, but I have spent time around there and can offer a few comments about the location. If you are looking for lots of action... to be on a busy lake, accessible to a major highway artery with many boat rental docks and tourist oriented restaurants and shops and near a busy mall, it should be a good location. If you are looking for a back to nature quiet time, this may not be the perfect location. It is a high-rise which means a concrete floor slab and little chance of vertical noise transmission. Our last condo in HS was a disaster in a two story wood frame structure, with our kids running around...the neighbors below were very upset with the noise. That should not be a problem here. I notice that the SunBay website advertises ';access'; to a health club and also advertises a pool. I%26#39;m sure you are checking to make sure what comes free and what costs extra, as the website seems silent to that. I have rented several condos in HS and have had very mixed experiences. I am sure you are asking for photos of the unit you are planning to use. Some people prefer Lake Ouachita... places like the more isolated Mountain Harbor... to the busier and less pristine, Lake Hamilton where SunBay is located. But then our kids love all the action on Hamilton and always have a great time.

We have stayed at Sunbay Resort several times and always have a pleasant stay. We try to visit in October because the leaves are beautiful and the weather is perfect. If your condo is on the lakeside you will have a nice view of Lake Hamilton. We find the outdoor dining and entertainment very appealing at the restaurant located behind the Sunbay Resort. The condos are nice and well furnished.

If you go to the downtown area check out the public drinking fountain, the water is good but different. I have seen many people filling up several gallon water bottles to take with them. Check out Lake Quachita while you are there, its a very pretty lake. I hope you enjoy your visit to Hot Springs.
