Traveling I-40 east bound and need cheap, descent, clean and safe area hotel between Little Rock and Memphis. Looking at Forrest City, AR but some of their hotels don%26#39;t get too good of reviews. Have stayed at the Hampton Inn there in Forrest City and no complaints about that hotel other than it%26#39;s too expensive for just a few hours to sleep there. Preferrably less than $65.
Any suggestions?? Leaving on Thursday. Nov 2nd.
Thanks in advance!

QUICK HELP! with hotel between Little Rock %26amp; Memphis I-40Thank you for that info. I am familiar with Brinkley. We%26#39;ve traveled this route many times we just usually drive straight through.
UPDATE: We are back from our trip and we wound up staying in Memphis (we drove farther than we thought we would) and stayed at the Memphis Plaza hotel.
I DO NOT recommend this hotel. See my review at:

I like outside Memphis and shudder to think what could have happened to you and your daughter in the circumstances you described. In the future, you might like to consider staying outside the city. At the Lakeland Exit, you will find two or three motels, one is a Days Inn that is decent, and they are much safer, plus you will avoid that higher hotel tax that you pay in town. It will be several miles before you find another motel though, so if you%26#39;re super tired, keep you eye peeled for Lakeland Exit. I think it%26#39;s about #22.
