Going to be in the Eureka Springs area around Presidents Day. Thinking of stopping in for a night or 2, but I know it%26#39;s kind of a seasonal town. Anyone know what shopping, dining, attractions etc are open or closed that time of year?
Thanks.

Eureka is not as seasonal as it once was. I believe that most of the shops are open, especially during the holiday weekends. I believe that you will find most of the dining places open as well. As far as the local entertainment... I am not for sure since that is usually not my cup of tea. Check out www.eurekasprings.com or www.eurekasprings.org. Both have activity calenars.
Eureka Springs in February
Just returned from a short trip to Eureka and found out more about President%26#39;s Day weekend. It will be action-packed. It is Diversity Weekend as well as Eureka Gras complete with a Mardi Gras type parade on Saturday. A native of New Orleans is in charge of the parade. It should be quite a hit.
Most all of the dining and shopping attractions were open this weekend (Dec 29) with only the seasonal attractions being closed such as the Passion Play and some of the outdoor related things. Some of the shops (as often happens) this time of year are ';up for sale'; but will probably be up and running by spring.
Come on out and enjoy yourself.
