Eureka Springs: Tourist Town or Peace and Quiet?

Is Eureka Springs a place to go for peace and quiet, or is it more of a tourist town? Can someone name secluded, quiet places to stay (or visit) with a great view in Eureka?

Thanks in Advance,

Eureka Springs: Tourist Town or Peace and Quiet?

Hello! I%26#39;m the webdesigner for EurekaSprings-Arkansas.com. We are in the process of recreating our entire site to include only the best places and package deals that include them. October is the busiest time of the year in Eureka Springs, but that is a good thing...not a bad thing. Eureka is a lovely little town year round and never gets too rowdy. There are wonderful places to stay as well as spas and other relaxing get-a-ways. Cinnamon Valley has some EXCELLENT cabins that are stunning and they are right next door to the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down...which is fantastic if you%26#39;re in the mood for some good music and some laughs. Check out both sites: http://www.cinnamonvalley.com and http://www.hoedown.net. Hope this helps! Please feel free to visit our site at www.eurekasprings-arkansas.com and visit often! Our brand new site will be rolling out in the next day or two!

Eureka Springs: Tourist Town or Peace and Quiet?

Eureka is unique. It%26#39;s greatest assets in my view are its people. They are real, committed and sort of took the path less traveled by. They receive their living from tourists but it%26#39;s always felt more like they are welcoming you into their home, their town. I recommend staying in the heart of the historic town, walking the streets, enjoying the art, the history and the hilly terrain and if you need peace and quiet, go to Thorncown Chapel, or take walks on quiet paths and on drives to the country around. Stay at the New Orleans or one of the nicely restored old hotels and get to know the lazy cats who hang out there too. Eureka is about tourists but in a different way. Except for the areas along the highway and around the big statue, It%26#39;s not brash and garish and loud and packed. Historic Eureka is what places like Branson and Orlando try to recreate. It%26#39;s the real thing.

we stayed at the can u canoe cabins. It is about 6 miles from downtown so it has a secluded feel with close access to down town. Our deck overlooked the white river and we really felt like we were in the middle of the forest. The cabin (105) was fully stocked with kitchen supplies and firewood was dropped off at our door daily. Great value... great accomodations!
