We are looking for a place to rent a cabin in Arkansas this summer for about a week. I have 2 teenage boys who love to fish, fish, fish. We would like to be within walking distance of the water, and prefer a pet friendly location. Gaston%26#39;s looked great, but seemed pricey. We%26#39;ve never fished in Arkansas before, so we don%26#39;t really know what area is best. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Greers ferry lake in north central arkansas is a great place to fish and is really beautiful, Arkansas has many great lakes to fish and boat, It is really hArd to choose just one. Here is a lake house on greers ferry that is a rent by owner, It is $100 a night for monday thru thursday, and $125 a night for sat and sun. With a $250 dollar deposit. It%26#39;s 3 bedroom with another convertable bed and 2.5 baths. Just steps to the water off of the deck.

I have had really good luck with the rent by owner web sites, It is a great way to rent a vacation house, condo, cabin.. No check in problems, you just prepay and they send a key, or code, and you go straight there.
And the little red river is also near by with trout fishing.
I hope this helps . arkansas has a lot to offer, come play in our backyard...

There are also some very beautiful places on Lake Ouachita, like MOuntain Harbor. Here is the link http://www.mountainharborresort.com
Also, Beaver Lake has wonderful cabins too! I think Lake Oachita has better fishing than Beaver though. Just personal experience. Beaver Lake is in a prettier area of the state. Lake Ouachita is close to Hot Springs which is a very neat time to spend some extra time and usually is less crowded because the lake is bigger. It is a toss up to me. To find out more about Beaver just search Beaver Lake and you will get all kinds of lodging options! GOOD LUCK! Have fun....I love the Arkansas lakes!
I grew up fishing on the Spring River, from Mammoth Spring to Hardy AR. Many Islands Camp has cabins and campsites for rent. They also rent canoes and flat-bottom boats for fishing. The teens would probably enjoy the river float trips that the camp runs.
Best part, it%26#39;s in the Ozarks and you can throw a rock into the river from just about anywhere in the camp!

*Sigh* I%26#39;m making myself homesick!
