Hot Springs in June

We will be staying in Hot Springs in June for probably 2 nights (weekdays). We have looked into the Arlington, as several have said how wonderful it is. However, it is beyond our budget.

Can anyone recommend another nice place that is not quite so pricey? From Motels to B%26amp;B%26#39;s.

Thank you in advance.

Hot Springs in June

Everything in hot springs seems alittle over priced compared to other areas, like branson, little rock, ect.... I like the Willow Beach Motel, Hot Springs

260 Lake Hamilton Drive

Hot Springs, AR 71913

It is nothing really fancy, but it has nice views of the lake for a really reasonable price, here%26#39;s the web address, www.willowbeachmotel.com/

Also I have heard that the happy hollow motel is a really clean ,quaint place to stay, It is said to be like an old 50%26#39;s motor lodge, Old but really well ran, and located near the arlington . Happy Hollow Motel, Hot Springs

231 Fountain Street

Hot Springs, AR 71901

Phone: 501-321-2230

I have read some good reviews on the place,

Most of the bed and breakfast are kinda pricey, over 100 a night..

And there are also condo rentals, but most are again kinda pricey.

I hope this helps a little.

Fordarama,

Thank you so much. Those places both look really nice, without having to spend huge money. We are moving to AR eventually...We have a place in Pocahontas. During this trip in June we are just trying to do a little more exploring of our soon to be home state!

wow, from cali to arkansas, what a change that will be... Your so welcome, arkansas is really beautiful in parts of the state,,, Hope you enjoy your trip....

Fordarama,

Tell me, what do you think of the Pocahontas area? You said %26#39;parts of AR are really beautiful%26#39;. Do you think so of Pocahontas? When we were looking to buy property there, we drove around a good portion on the northern half of the state. My personal absolute favorite was Mountain Home, but we didn%26#39;t find any of the type of property there to suit our needs, at least that we could afford. (We have horses, and wanted some land). I also really liked the Waldron area. I didn%26#39;t care for the big cities, or even Harrison. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area (though I%26#39;m 4 1/2 hours from there now), and my husband grew up in Philadelphia. We live in a semi-rural area now, and I%26#39;ve lived previously in an extremely rural area. We could not do the city thing anymore. It drives us both crazy. We wanted a nice rural type area with some amenities %26#39;relatively%26#39; close by. We thought the Pocahontas area fit our needs nicely.

Any thoughts or comments?

I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. It may be more than you planned to spend, but I believe you will find it to be well worth it! We stayed 6 nights last July and absolutely loved it!

I really like it in Pocahontas, It is really beautiful, I have not spent any time thee, so could not say anything about liveing there. But I agree with you about the rual areas being a better way to live. Yeah, harrison is not much to look at, I%26#39;m sure you will love arkansas, well, maybe not the storms,, I would suggest investing in a tornado shelter... Though I have lived here all my life and never needed one. We have four seasons, and all have their own Beauty...
