Looking for a unique but reasonable place to stay in Searcy.

Hello all! I%26#39;m planning a suprise trip for my husband to visit with his grandfather in Searcy,AR. I%26#39;m looking for something unique and memorable but also affordable. We are a family of five, all children are 12 and under. We will be going sometime over the summer. I%26#39;m thinking cabin, or cottage, so husband and I will have seperate room from the kids.

Also, what is there to do? I saw something about Greer Ferry Lake(?) how close/far is that? One more thing, Where the neareast airport to plan a flight we would be departing from PA.

greers ferry lake is a beautiful area. There are state parks and fishing, boating, ect.. It takes 1 hour to get to a town called heber springs that is located by the lake. It is the largest town at the lake, It is 30.48 miles from searcy. Here%26#39;s a list of the hotels. Lampton Inn

Directions: Just 8 miles outside of the city of Greers Ferry in the ';heart of the lake'; area.

100 acre farm with farmhouse B%26amp;B suites, cabins for 2 to 12 people, fireplaces %26amp; hot tubs, fishing pond, lakefront units, all with access to Greers Ferry Lake. Searcy is a medium size town that is a college town, My husband works in searcy.

There is a good little resturaunt across from the college called Doc%26#39;s grille.
