We are planning a trip to the Herber Springs/Greers Ferry Lake area. Anyone know anything about it? What is there to do in the area?

The main thing to do in the area is lake activities, swimming, fishing, boating, . Little rock isn';t to far away and you could do it in a day trip, visit the rivermarket and see our new presidential library, there are some good art galleries. And I would suggest the under ground pub in the river market as some good food at a good price. There should be some craft stores in the area. It%26#39;s been awhile since I%26#39;ve been up there, so maybe there might be something new. Any way welcome to Arkansas

about 45 mins from heber springs/greers ferry lake is mtn view, which you definitely should plan to go to for at least one day and night and maybe two.

the ozark folk center is there, and there are zillions of musicians who live there. every afternoon and evening when the weather is tolerable, people come to the square downtown (mtn view is very small) and jam. this is free and very enjoyable.

in addition, blanchard springs caverns is just outside mtn view and should not be missed. the caverns are spectacularly beautiful, and the scenery is lovely driving over there from mtn view.
