Great fun In Little Rock

You never said when the trip was, Do you still need advice? Arkansas has many things to see, Like hot springs arkansas has lots of history,

Here in our friendly, historic city of Hot Springs National Park we%26#39;re used to people falling in love with us. As America%26#39;s First Resort and one of the South%26#39;s most popular family vacation and convention destination spots, Hot Springs carries on some very important hospitality traditions. Maybe that%26#39;s why everyone keeps coming back to see us.

Natural Thermal Hot Springs

The first federally protected reservation in the nation%26#39;s history, Hot Springs Arkansas features amazing 147° thermal water, rich history and beautiful architecture. Hike or drive up ';Shaman%26#39;s Peak'; where ancient warriors once walked, tour the historic Fordyce Bathhouse and Visitor%26#39;s Center, or enjoy a relaxing bath massage and spa - all in the historic downtown area.

Historic Hot Springs

Hot Springs has it all! Picture post card perfect, historic landmarks and buildings of downtown Hot Springs National Park include classic hotels, Victorian architecture, world-class art studios, restaurants, nightclubs and famed Bathhouse Row. Hot Springs is also the proud hometown of our nation’s 42nd president, former President Bill Clinton. Are you shopping for unique antiques and collectibles, fine art or souvenir gifts? We%26#39;ve got antiques shops to rock shops, boutiques to malls - yet another reason why Hot Springs is such a popular vacation destination.

Ouachita Mountain Wonders - Outdoor Fun

Some say one of our best features is our location in the Diamond Lakes Region of the scenic Ouachita Mountains. Crystal hunting, fishing, water sports, hiking, golf, camping, site seeing and horseback riding provide year-round opportunity for outdoor recreation. Tucked inside a mystical valley in these gentle mountains, Hot Springs offers our visitors many exciting outdoor sports activities.

There is a wonderful B%26amp;B called wildwood 1884 bed and breakfast, It is super romantic.

there is also president clintons library in the river market in little rock, There is some good resturaunts near by in the river market, and art galleries.

And other things is the The Old State House

The Old State House is the oldest standing state capitol building west of the Mississippi River. You can tour it for free and see some historical artifacts. Located at 300 W. Markham in Little Rock. 501-324-9685.

The MacArthur Museum of Military History

If you%26#39;re in to the military or history, The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History is the perfect spot. It%26#39;s located at 503 E. Ninth St., in MacArthur Park and it has everything from Civil War artifacts to artifacts from today. The National Historic Landmark that the museum is located in was actually the birth place of General MacArthur and was once used as an arsenal! Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 501-376-4602.

or Tour the Capitol Building

This is one of the only state capitols that was modeled after the capitol in Washington DC and has served as the ';body double'; for the nation%26#39;s capitol in many movies. You can have a guided tour or just walk through yourself. The free scheduled tours of the Capitol Building are offered weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm. Call 501-682-5080 for more information or to arrange a private tour.

Visit Central High

The Central High Museum and is located at 2125 Daisy L. Gatson Bates Dr. in Little Rock. It was the location of the infamous desegration in 1957. The museum is a restored gas station across from the school and it chronicles the story as well as some other Arkansas history. here%26#39;s some off beat things that might be fun?

Double Decker Outhouse

This unique attraction is a working outhouse but it%26#39;s mostly just to get people to stop in The Booger Hollow Trading Post and visit the gift shop. If you happen to be driving by, you can%26#39;t miss stopping and having your photo taken in front of it. It%26#39;s found along Scenic 7 Byway, in Dover, AR.

Animal Actors Zoo

I remember going to this zoo as a child and being mesmerized by piano playing chickens, pigs that drove cars and cute little animal skits. The ';zoo'; has changed hands a few times over the years but it%26#39;s still a great act to catch. Hot Springs used to be the home of two such places but they%26#39;ve condensed and the new place has a little from both. 210 Central Avenue, Hot Springs, AR:

Dinosaur World

Dinosaur World features life sized replicas of dinosaurs (although they may not be scientific replicas). They also have a statue of King Kong. It%26#39;s a fun thing for kids of all ages. You can find it on Highway 187 north of Eureka Springs near Beaver Dam.

Popeye Statues

Did you know Arkansas was the spinach capital of the world? I didn%26#39;t. However, the folks in Alma do! They have an 8-foot, fiberglass Popeye tribute in their town square to announce it. There are also Popeye statues in Lowell in front of the Allen Foods plant and on Highway 71B in Lowell.

Tiny Town

This is truly an amazing little town of miniatures. Most of the ';tiny town'; is handmade and intricately detailed. Tiny Town is touted as the world%26#39;s largest animated miniature city and the world%26#39;s largest indoor display. It%26#39;s frequented by mini-celebrities like Mr. T. It can be found on Whittington Avenue in Hot Springs: 501-624-4742.

Museum of Automobiles

If you like cars, you%26#39;ll like this museum. There are some ';celebrity'; cars but the coolest is the Climber. It%26#39;s the only car ever built in Arkansas. The museum is near Petit Jean in Morrilton, Arkansas: 501-727-5427.

Saint Elizabeth%26#39;s Chapel

This chapel is famous because you have to enter it through the Bell Tower. It%26#39;s a beautiful chapel and it;s a neat little piece of history. It%26#39;s adjacent to the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, 30 Crescent Drive: 501-253-9853.

World%26#39;s Tallest Uncrucified Christ

What can you say about a seven story high Jesus? He is a part of the ';Great Passion Play'; and was built entirely by hand.

Gay Nineties Button and Doll Museum

This museum has button mosaics and dolls that have been collected over many years. It%26#39;s attached to Onyx Cave too which is another attraction in itself. Onyx Cave, U.S. 62 East Eureka Springs: 501-253-9321.

I hope this helps,
