Fishing / things to do in late Nov.

We may be attending a family reunion on Norfork lake Thanksgiving weekend. My thought is that the weather will probably not be ideal for fishing or anything outdoors at that point, correct ?

With Arkansas weather you never know, usually I not wearing a heavy coat until mid December. A light jacket is sometimes all you need. My kids are normally playing outside for most of the Thanksgiving weekend.

Weather probably won%26#39;t be fit for waterskiing, but you%26#39;d probably be able to go fishing -- though as campingc points out, you never know what the weather%26#39;ll be that time of year. While the average temp is somewhat cooler, I%26#39;ve spent plenty of Thanksgivings, and even some Christmases, outdoors in short sleeves in North Arkansas (have also spent some, though fewer, bundled up as warmly as possible and staying in by the fire, figuratively speaking).

Don%26#39;t forget the White River for some trout fishing. From the Norfork/Mountain Home area head down Hwy 5 south to Calico Rock. There you will find the White River, plenty of places to rent a boat/guide and a good day of fishing.

Thanks all ! We have not been down there for almost 20 years and never at that time of the year. I do remember the White River - thanks for the reminder.
