Hi
we live in DFW area, wanted to go to Arkansas.. But not very sure where to go..
We have a weekend, what we like is driving/forests/biking/natural beauties..etc.
We can come back sometime later for the locations we like.. So was thinking a drive thru to get an idea would be better for now..
Any thoughts..?
Thanks for the help..
Arkansas from DFW.
It sounds like you are looking for NW Arkansas - lots of forests, scenery, and outdoor activities. Eureka Springs is a great little town - lots of B%26amp;B%26#39;s, fun and nice places to eat, quiet, and access to lots of hiking/biking/boating/swimming.

No that iam looking @ NW AR / Ozark Mountains area..
Any place that i can settle down (which area in the Ozark Mountain area?) -- Want to settle down in one of those Log Cabins where we can go around from..
Thanks and any help is appreciated.
Just want to make sure I%26#39;m clear... I said it sounds like you are looking ';for'; northwest AR - not that you are looking ';at'; it. My suggestion for NW AR was based in what you said you liked. I will again suggest Eureka Springs:

You can search for lodging from those sites - there are lots of cabins available.
Don%26#39;t overlook the Hwy 5 corridor in the Ozarks. From Mountain View (folk life center, blanchard springs caverns, national forest for hiking and biking) to Calico Rock (on the White River - some of the best trout fishing in the US) to Mountain Home (two lakes, and shopping %26amp; golf) - you%26#39;ll find some great Ozark beauty all along the way.
You were right -- I meant we WANTED to go to the Ozarks -- Thanks for the info..
Go visit my husband%26#39;s website, mooremonkeys.com. He is an outdoor enthusiast. If you see a place you want to visit email us for directions. One of my favorites is Glory Hole.

Check out cabins at these Arkansas State Parks.

I%26#39;m from NW Arkansas and live in the DFW metro as well. I can tell you that Eureka Springs is a haven for what you are looking for. If you want to get away, look at cabins on Beaver Lake and consider canoeing the King%26#39;s River (the White%26#39;s too cold!). Head north up Hwy. 23 into Missouri to Roaring River state park (about 20 minutes) and take advantage of some hiking and trout fishing with tackle shop inside the park. Plus you are only 30 minutes from Kimberling City and Table Rock Lake. THE paradise!
Try Broken Bow, Oklahoma. We have all of that and more.
