Hot Springs in April

We are two young couples (in our mid 20%26#39;s) coming to Hot Springs for a long weekend in April. Besides Bath House Row and Hot Springs National Park - what is there that we should do? We like outdoors (hiking, watersports, etc). How much time should we plan to spend at the National Park? Thanks for your help!

Hot Springs in April

Depending on what time in April you arrive,

www.oaklawn.com horse racing is a fun way to spend an afternoon. The season ends april 15.

Another place you might enjoy is www.garvangardens.org It%26#39;s a 210 acre botanical garden that%26#39;s pretty cool. It costs $7 to enter and there are lots of paths and trails throughout and it%26#39;s in a peninsula on Lake Hamilton. You%26#39;ll need to come again in warmer weather to enjoy the watersports.

The name National Park is confusing. The park and the city blend together. It%26#39;s not like a park somewhere out by itself. Part of the park area includes bath house row, which is also the main drag of downtown Hot Springs. It%26#39;s a great town. Hope you enjoy it!

Also their is a really romantic bed and breakfast called Wildwood 1884 Bed and Breakfast. It is a wonderful place to stay, You might want to try chef pauls as a really good place to eat, And for shopping there is hot springs factory outlet on Highway 7 South.

maybe this will help a little,

You will have a fun time in hot springs for a great place to eat try bella arte italian restaurant.oaklawn will be runing the first few weeks of april it is fun,, if it is warm go to lake hamilton it is great good luck................

I would recommend staying at the Lookout Point Inn Bed and Breakfast. It is absolutely fabulous. We stayed for 6 nights and loved it! Romantic, comfy, great food, and wonderful hosts! Eat at the Italian place at the Lake%26#39;s edge. I can%26#39;t remember the name. There is also an out of the way place in a shopping mall close to Wal-Mart, also Italian%26#39;ish. That one was the best. Ask the hosts at Lookout Point and they will know which place it is. That place is a MUST not miss! Otherwise, we drove to the mountain lookout and it was scenic. We didn%26#39;t hike much. Hope this helps!
