Hot Springs Ducks

I just looked at the ducks site and hots springs ducks looks awsome. Is it worth the 14 bucks each? I would be payting 28 for the both of us?

Hot Springs Ducks

Well, they are fun if you want to tour the lake. But......The had a major accident back in 99... One sank wihin seconds and 11 people died...

here%26#39;s the link for the story.

But they have not had any problems since.

I like the Belle of Hot springs riverboat better, here%26#39;s the link for it.

Hot Springs Ducks

We had a great time on our Duck tour. You go through the heart of Hot Springs, and then onto Lake Hamilton. The drivers are very entertaining, and share a lot of information about Hot Springs and Lake Hamilton. The vehicles are open-air, so dress appropriately for the weather. Have fun!

My husband and I (from New Orleans) will be retiring in a couple of years and definitely want to relocate to Eureka Springs. Anyone know of other New Orleanians who have relocated there?

    budget B&B

I%26#39;d like to take my daughter to her first B%26amp;B experience in Eureka

Springs but we%26#39;re short on cash and long on time (I just got laid off). I read lots of raves about them but no prices. Does anyone know of a great deal for a safe place...we%26#39;re thinking of the 28 and 29 of June.

The Piedmont is heaven on earth !!! You can stay two days at around $80 and get the third a half price. The porches and views just can%26#39;t be beat. The owner is the best cook ever. It%26#39;s walking distance to everywhere. The history is unbeatable. I have been visiting

Eureka sense 1990 and The Piedmont can%26#39;t be beat.

pennyless...one more thing. I started at the Piedmont in the early 90%26#39;s taking my daughter there. It%26#39;s like a second home. Your gonna love that place. Don%26#39;t dicount the holidays there either. It%26#39;s magical !

Where to stay, romething romantic but cheap!

We are looking for a cozy and romantic place to stay for probably 2 nights in July. So far I%26#39;m liking either the Oak Crest Cottages (with the Sante Fe or Monet%26#39;s Cottage) or the Cottage Uptown staying in the Uptown Cottage itself. We were looking for something around $100 per night. Does anyone know anything about these 2 places or have other recommendations?

Check out The Carriage Inn at Busch Mountain. We stayed there for our anniversary (March 2005). The room was very romantic and cozy (victorian style) with a two person hot tub and private balcony overlooking the Ozark Valley. The hosts are very sweet and helpful and served a wonderful hot breakfast in the morning. Their price for July is $110 a night. http://www.carriageinneurekasprings.com/

I have been visiting Eureka for 16 years and have either stayed or checked out just about everyplace and The Piedmont has it all. History. porches with incredible views, breakfast fit for a king. different rooms to fit your desires and budget, plus if you stay two nights the third is half price and we are talking eight bucks for some really cute rooms. Some killer rooms are $110. Walking distance to town. You can walk around like it%26#39;s home. The owner is just a really great person. He should be on Food network..really !!!!!

    restaurants

i%26#39;m looking for a couple of dynamite restaurants for our visit to E.S. in a few weeks. i%26#39;ve heard ermilo%26#39;s is great...any other advice? any good mexican restaurants? i need rachel ray to do a ';Eureka Springs on $40 a day guide.'; thanks in advance for your help!

    restaurants

Ermilio%26#39;s is the best, by far, for Italian. Autumn Breeze is also great, especially the souffle. Skip DeVito%26#39;s, it%26#39;s not nearly as good as Ermilio%26#39;s. The Crystal Ball Room at the Crescent isn%26#39;t as good as it%26#39;s price might suggest. Mud Street Cafe is great for breakfast (try the greek omlet or the muffin tops), or for a light lunch.

    restaurants

I%26#39;m probably too late on this post but there used to be a good restaurant called The Oasis.

A small place, mainly for lunch/late lunch...I don%26#39;t think they do dinners but I could be wrong. Good prices, large portions.

A bit more pricey but usually good is the Sunday brunch at The Crescent Hotel if you like that sort of thing. Lots of variety.

I%26#39;m not aware of any good Mexican places.

DeVito%26#39;s used to have really good Italian but sorry to say my last trip there wasn%26#39;t worth it. My lasange looked and tasted just like a Stouffer%26#39;s entree. How disapointing, it used to be a good dining experience.

Forest Hills was always good spot for pizza.

I haven%26#39;t been to E.S. in some time though. I used to go every March and I%26#39;ve always had a really fun time there. Even the year they had 27'; of snow in 1999!

Been visiting Eureka for 16 years. There is one mexican place but..............unless you just have to have a fix then there are other great places but not mexican. Ermillio%26#39;s 100% everytime and has that Eureka feel to it. Sparky%26#39;s for casual lunch or dinner and eat in the back. Both of these places rate supreme with just about everyone. The Oasis thing...hum...It is nice food but boy-o-boy..very dirty and they have about five tables. The Basin Park Balcony lunch type food is fun. Stay at a B%26amp;B and you will get a huge breakfast. I love The Piedmont.
