Amazing Wedding at Angel at Rose Hall

Wanted to share a little about my wonderful wedding ceremony at Angel at Rose Hall Bed and Breakfast. I planned my wedding, mostly via internet, while deployed to Afghanistan, having the wedding on R%26amp;R leave. We chose Eureka Springs as a halfway point between Kansas City (my family) and Dallas (John’s family). Some searching on the web led me to the “Angel at Rose Hall Bed and Breakfast.” Susan, the innkeeper, offers several packages to accommodate various sizes of weddings; some are all-inclusive with all the trimmings, fun activities in Eureka Springs, and lodging for the bride and groom. Susan was always very friendly, helpful and understanding (even though I once called at the late hour of 9pm due to the time difference). Susan had incredible command of our ceremony—we only had to show up to the ceremony—all the little things were thought of and handled. We didn’t have to worry about decorating as her home is beautifully decorated—the pictures online hardly do justice to the beauty of her home. Her home is located on the outskirts of downtown (so it is quiet and private—great for honeymoons and getaway weekends), but is still located on the trolley route. Breakfast was a delicious hot meal with fresh fruit. We chose a room with a Jacuzzi, balcony porch and king-size bed; the shower also had two showerheads—go ahead and splurge, you won’t be disappointed! Susan did an outstanding job with our wedding ceremony and honeymoon stay. I would highly recommend her bed and breakfast to anyone choosing to marry in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

I used “Michael’s Photography” to photograph our ceremony. He was fabulous with the guests—it’s easy to smile for photos when you are laughing at his funny quips—and he worked hard to get photos of my mother not blinking—quite a feat! We had our reception dinner at Myrtie Mae’s Restaurant at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks (our guests also stayed here). The food and service was great and everyone was able to choose the dinner they wanted from the menu (convenient since we had vegetarians). Our bill for 25 people was very reasonable, compared to a pub downtown that wanted us to purchase a minimum dollar amount of food for use of a private room (about $400 compared to $1500, quite a few even had the prime rib special!). And, lastly, my sister, mother and I had our hair styled at “Stadium Hair” before the wedding (recommended by Susan). She did a spectacular job—my hair looked great and it really boosted my confidence (I had forgotten about little things like hair, makeup, and jewelry as I planned everything).
