Please pardon my ignorance.
I%26#39;m heading to Arkansas for business and was told it was a %26#39;dry%26#39; town (being Bentonville) and that you couldn%26#39;t drink alcohol. Is this true? or any variation of it?
Alcohol consumption
did a search on city-data.com forum. it shows that Bentonville is not only a %26#39;dry%26#39; town, but is in a %26#39;dry%26#39; county as well. this means that there are no actual liquor stores in that county that you can purchase bottled liquor to take %26#39;home%26#39; with you. there may be an eating place or bar around Bentonville or surrounding towns, that has a private license to sell drinks on the premesis. you can drink alcohol in %26#39;dry%26#39; areas. you just can%26#39;t buy it in that %26#39;dry%26#39; area. generally, any town or county that is %26#39;dry%26#39;, will have liquor stores right across the city limit of the town or just across the county line. just ask a local at a gas station or hotel for nearest liquor store. or, if there%26#39;s a bar/eatery that has alcohol.
