Nice resort on Lake Ouachita?

We%26#39;re looking for a really nice resort on Lake Ouachita....one with a good pool for when we%26#39;re not out on the Lake in our boat. Oh, and covered boat slips would be great.

Nice resort on Lake Ouachita?

I have recently stayed at Mountain Harbor Resort with a large group and everyone seemed to like it there. I believe the restaurant and I am sure the pool close for winter months so if you are going soon, check on exactly what is available this time of year at mountainharborresort.com. The accommodations are pretty nice. They have a rustic-themed decor and the various units vary considerably. The original units are motel-like, then they built duplex units and then newer condos are scattered about the wooded property. Some are closer to the boats, some near the pool, others have lake views. So question them carefully to make sure you get what you want. The food is not gourmet-type but it was adequate for our group. There is a spa if you get into that and what seems to me, large well equipped boat docks and boating operations. There are a few more options but I have not stayed at those recently and I don%26#39;t think they offer as much as MH. I do have a friend who keeps his large boat at Brady Mountain so the boat docks there are likely good, but I am not familiar with the accommodations. You might google that one. (apologize if this posts twice - I half hit it the first time and not sure it posted)

Thanks so much for the reply. We%26#39;re not going until next summer so I%26#39;m sure the pool and restaurant will be open then. I%26#39;ve stayed at Brady Mountain Lodge before but it%26#39;s been 20 years ago! The website looks like things have changed quite a bit. We%26#39;ll likely give Mountain Harbor a try. So the pool is nice?

They have three pools at Mountain Harbor and they are your basic pools - average in size and features. One is at the main lodge, another is near the spa and conference area, and the third is in a condo area. Though it was rainy on our visit and we did not use them, I would suspect that they are well maintained like the rest of the resort but again fairly basic...no unusual features like Great Wolf Lodge!

Mountain Harbor is beautiful! I live here in Hot Springs but I have actually stayed out at Mt. Harbor last May for my grandmother%26#39;s birthday and we absolutely loved it. Their cabins and condo%26#39;s come equipped with a television, dvd/vcr combo and the kitchen has all utensils, dishes and appliances. All you have to do is bring your own food. Each cabin has it%26#39;s own hot tub and grill. I%26#39;d definatly reccomend it.
