Graduation night at the Marketplace.

I am in South Arkansas, but have been getting a degree from UALR for the last 3 years online. I%26#39;ve finally finished and will be graduating next Thursday.

A friend of mine is flying in from Dallas to help me celebrate, and she wants to stay around the Marketplace.

What is there to do after 9pm for two single women (we%26#39;re 40 and older) so nothing too wild, but we do want to go out after the ceremony. We%26#39;re looking to stay there overnight as well.

You guys have been really helpful in the past, so I%26#39;m hoping that you can give me some suggestions on what we can do or if there is some other area that we need to stay at instead.

Thanks for your help!

I%26#39;d stay at the Marriott Courtyard at the River Market unless you really want to splurge at the newly restored Capital Hotel down the street. Nearby quiet and nice places to celebrate might be the bar at the Capital Hotel, a wine bar named Crush, and the lobby bar of the Peabody Hotel. You might try Bosco%26#39;s for a late dinner. It will be still seating at that time. There are 3-4 places along President Clinton Avenue in the River Market with live music such as Sticky Fingers. They have maybe a slightly younger crowd but they are safe and fun places. If you stay over Friday night December 14th, it is ';Second Friday'; and there is much activity that night. There are 6-7 galleries and museums open in the area, most with free food, drink and music and a trolly running between them, and a free movie afterwards at the nearby library. You have the right location for your graduation party. Have fun!

Thanks JimJade! It%26#39;s been a long time coming!

I%26#39;ll let her know about the hotels AND the places.

We both appreciate it!
